Over the weekend, a powerful winter storm is set to impact more than 130 million people across the United States as heavy winter precipitation, strong winds, and bitterly cold temperatures move in, bringing dangerous conditions.
The National Weather Service issued an extreme cold warning for the Chicago area beginning Friday at 3 a.m. through noon.
On Thursday at 3:36 p.m. EST a winter weather advisory was released by the National Weather Service in effect until Friday at 1 p.m. EST for Montmorency, Crawford, Oscoda, Missaukee and Roscommon counties.
