What the young cast of Stranger Things is doing now that the hugely succesful Netflix show has come to an end.

The cast of “Stranger Things” is back for the fifth and final time in Hawkins, Indiana. But this time, older. Part 1 of “Stranger Things” Season 5 airs on Netflix on Nov. 26 with the release of Part 2 and 3 to follow on Dec. 25 and Dec. 31.

On the Friday afternoon of Dec. 19, Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer gathered at the Netflix-owned Paris Theatre in New York City with cast members who were in town for press appearances.

The cast from Finn Wolfhard to Maya Hawke and Millie Bobby Brown react to the "overwhelmingly beautiful" endings given to their characters, and what their final table read was like: "There was a stillness in the room.

So, season five picks up after an 18‑month time jump from the end of four and is set in fall 1987. The core five characters were born in 1971, bar Dustin in 1972, making the core five characters 16 years old. When you know the timeline, the character ages in Stranger Things 5 does line up, but it’s not immediately obvious.
