The suspect is charged with intoxication manslaughter and FOX 4 has now learned that he has a pending DWI case from last year.
According to officials on scene, Grand Prairie Police attempted to stop a possible DUI suspect.
Dallas Police Lt. Jeremy Carter was arrested on Christmas Eve by police in Midlothian. The 16-year veteran was charged with driving while intoxicated. He has also been placed on administrative leave.
