The Weather Channel’s Jim Cantore is covering Winter Storm Fern from New York City. This morning, he captured a group of dogs playing in the snow in Central Park. Snow will likely change over to sleet later today and the bitter cold will stick around all next week.

As of 5 p.m., Central Park sits at 8.8 inches of snow. That's the biggest snowfall there since Jan. 28-29, 2022, when 8.3 inches fell at the park.
